Hi-I asked this ? once before & do not recall the remedies. But despite the
good-heartiness of those who responded, they, obviously did not work. And
it's so aggravating. I suppose you want the question. No matter how much I
fiddle with cookie, security, privacy, internet , etc. settings-even turning
off the pop-up blocker & firewall I, on occasion, get this window: "Action
Cancelled" & when I hit the return arrowe I receive this one-"Page cannot be
displayed." Steps are suggested ,all of which I've tried. They are innocent
sites. Help, Please.
I also want to offer a HEARTFELT thanks to all who try to help those
of us who are far less knowledgeable. Other than, perhaps, feelings of
altruism I see no apparent reward for you. But I can assure you that many
of us are so very grateful for your attempts, even when they don't resolve
the issue. Polite, ordinarily efficient, no belittling, etc.. Thank you so
much. And I truly(sic) mean it- alan

Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc for a file named HOSTS with no
extension. (Not Hosts.sam)
Make sure Windows is set to show hidden files and folders and is NOT set to
hide extensions for known file types.
If HOSTS exists, rename it to HOSTS.OLD
Reboot an try again.

Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.

Hi Frank-No "host" in sys.32 drivers, but used cmd prompt & result was
"successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache." Is that what I wanted to see?
