Action buttons

How do you get the text on an action button to change colour after the button
has been used
 
You have to select the text to create the hyperlink -- not the button that
contains the text.
 
While Sandy's suggestion will work, it means that the button won't. That
is, you will have to click on the text of the button to get the action.
You could use an emphasis animation with a trigger (the button
triggering itself) to get it to work. Here's a video of how you would do
it in 2003:
