ACT 2009 Import Failing

I am attempting to convert an Act 9.0.1.162 db with the BM utility, but it
continues to error with "The specified file is not a valid database for the
currently installed version of ACT (2005)."
Is this an issue of Act having updated beyond BCM's ability to convert, or
is there something else I can look at? I need history, calendar and tasks.
 
Issue resolved. The clients database had not been updated properly the past
couple of upgrades. Creating a new database in ACT and importing the data
from the old file resolved the issue. All data imported to BCM successfully.
The client was not happy that he lost his original posting dates of his
notes. MSFT really needs to resolve this data transfer issue.
