Mickey Mouse

Hi folks,
I've decided to get a handle on Acronis9 before I install it.
I'm therefore going to ask some questions which come to mind as I read the
manual. I know there
is a forum but I'd like to try here first as I know many of you are using
it. I'm very comfortable with the people
here on this newsgroup. I'm sure also that any constructive comments I
receive will/may also benefit others.

The manual states that when you install Aronis9 you're given the option to
install, 'Typical, Custom or Complete'.
It doesn't explain the difference between these, except that if you install
'Custom' you have the option of NOT installing
the 'Rescue Media Builder'. I understand you're given the option to create
the 'Bootable Rescue Disks' at installation,
so why do you need to install the Rescue Media Builder for later use and
which is best to install, Typical, Custom or
Complete?

This would be a question for Acronis support or their discussion forum, it's
not a Windows related issue.

This isn't an Acronis Support area... especially for a product that is
3 generations behind the current one.

And neither are many other Topics discussed here.

Does this mean I won't be hearing from you if I post another question re
Acronis9 questions?
Acronis and others like it have very much to do with Windows, perhaps I'm
wrong.
If it's so inappropriate, why did you reply?
Rhetorical question, no need to answer that.

Mickey

Another constructive comment. The woodwork really is cracking with the
heat.
Have a look at previous posts for the last few months. Is everyone posting
inappropriately
in your view?
If your right, then I won't, shouldn't and probably not expect to hear from
you again.

Although I don't not use Acronis, I do use Ghost.

Norton's Ghost also has the equivalent of a rescue CD.
Since I do a lot of testing the original rescue CD was
beginning to show excessive ware. I'm now only my third
rescue CD (one CD got scratched) so the ability to
create another CD is important in case your original fails.

As your not smart enough to figure it out on your own, I had to tell you
where to go for an answer to your question. As your just being a jackass
now, no, I won't be replying to any more of your questions as your obviously
not worth the effort.

A typical "Mickey Mouse" question...

You pays your money and takes your choice. I'd install complete.

I don't particularly like forums (plural no mistake) and I think this
newsgroup is an eminently suitable place to discuss Windows backup
techniques. This a ng alt.backup.software but a large number of posts
there are puerile vulgarity.

I think you've chosen the proper moniker.

You're right... this will be the last from me until I see you start an
ON-topic thread.

Thanks JS, something to think about.

I wish I were smarter, then I wouldn't need to post. And speaking of posts,
I've had a look at some of your past posts to others. Very little to no
input,
and little to no constructive help. Judging by what I've seen, you're only
input
is to criticize and or redirect to links. Redirecting to links can be
helpful but your
condescending nature/attitude, it's a worry.

Just a couple of your pasty's below. (there are many more)

David B. Re: Home Page: 28/03/2008
No one here has even the slightest clue what your talking about.

22/03/2008
This is not an XP related question, repost to one of the Outlook groups.

29/03/2008
Just to add to Kens reply, contrary to popular belief, this group is not for
general help and support of Windows XP, it is for assistance with XP's built
in Help & Support feature.

Interesting to see you liken yourself to Ken. Ken has been helping people
here
for ages. Critical when necessary, but usually constructive. I have even
accepted his
kind help in the past. You think you're that good you put yourself in his
and others like
him in the same class. You should learn to accept the failings of others
and either ignore
or assist. Condescension helps nobody, but appears to be your style.

You say my posts are inappropriate? That appears to depend on how you feel
at the time.
David. Eg...

Since the 22/03/2008 you replied to...
Harddrive, printer, burning virtual Cd's, router, owner of computer,
balancing a harddrive,
DTV Converter, Gateway laptops, rescue cd's, Oh, and a favourite of mine,
your post re:
How to connect a subwoofer Gizmo. ...etc, etc, etc, etc the list goes on,
and in many of these you
chose to belittle the poster.
Of course these post of your's relate directly to Windows Support, BUT NOT
ACRONIS?

Hypocrite

You are a very sad and poor copy of a keystone cop who thinks everybody here
in this newsgroup
should act and behave in accordance to your criteria.
Try a little Humility.

You really should adopt, "Live and let live to replace your "Live and if
possible demean".

Now according to my crystal balls (I have two of them) I know exactly the
content of your reply so
don't bother and shame on you! (the, language! where's the soap)

Hi James,
Personally, I like forums. I just choose to exercise my right as to where
and how I post.
According to David B. I'm not very smart so I'll have to lookup " eminently
and puerile vulgarity"
And Bill Sharpe, now there is a guy with a sense of humour, I like that. He
watch's too many Popeye
cartoons though.

Ok Luca, see you there. Maybe we'll get to be on a first name basis, you
never know.
