.... might I get/purchase the "boxed/disk" version of this program ? (If this
needs to be in another group, please advise. Thank you.)
Have checked the Acronis site, PCWorld, MajorGeeks, etc., etc.. Everything
I can find is a download. I have a dial up connection and that prog. is 100
+ mgbs. At my speed that's about 100 hours !! No can do ! (Unfortunately,
the only friends with both hi-speed and the expertise to download, have MACS
and I need WinXPH, and they are way long distance from here.)
Does anyone know where I might purchase the "box" ? Any help and advice
will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I've seen it in stores, but you might call Acronis and ask them. Maybe also
try CDW.

When you go to the shopping page of Acronis True Image you will see a box
that says.."send a backup CD"

Thanks, Lanwench, appreciate your reply. Have you by any chance seen it in
places like Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, etc., etc.. ? Those are
local, but getting them to answer the phone is sometimes a hassle... Thanks,
much, will check out CDW...

Thanks much, peter. Went there, but what came thru on my search was
download purchase only with no option to get the CD... Even went to some of
their "resellers" sites - about 40 miles away but all "consulting" groups -
not a walk in retail,,, Ah well.... Thanks, again.

Or call Acronis directly :-)

Thanks, Tom for taking the time to reply. Checked the link... Never
been to Amazon... Can I trust them with CC info ?? Sorry, but
there's so very much CC fraud, that I'm a bit paranoid... Thanks,
again.

Amazon is safe - and note that credit card purchases are always protected.

Have you ever *heard* of Amazon? If not, you've led a sheltered life ;-)

You didn't look very close on the Acronis site. When you click on the buy
now icon, it gives you the opportunity to also get the cd sent to you.

I got my boxed copy of TI Home from http://www.newegg.com/. See:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832200004
Acronis TrueImage Home v11
$29

Of course, the other versions are more expensive than the Home
version. You never mentioned WHICH version of True Image that you
want to get.

OK, Thanks, Y'All !! Sorry, wasn't able to get here yesterday with
Thanks/replies... (Now that all have had a few snicks & grins over the
"online shopping challenged" person... Am not mad, got many chuckles from
the replies, and freely admit to being extremely wary after many weeks of
reading about local people who've been "taken" thru' internet "deals".)
I believe the "Home" ver. 11, will work for my purposes - Hopefully, prevent
what happened a few months ago - HD died.
Did manage to get find out that a couple of local places carry it and have
it in stock. Should have tried that first before posting, but had followed
the link from a posting in another "group" and could not find a way to get
the disk instead of the download....
Again, many Thanks to all of you for taking the time to reply.
