Hello

I just started testing this software.

I did a backup of my hard drive... and then I tried restoring a random
folder from that archive. I just happened to choose a folder that
contained only 30 small GIF files of 2 kb each.

But I ended up with 30 GIF files of 0 kb each. They're all empty. I
did a few more tests, I restored a whole bunch of directories and in
all of them, the files are restored OK except for the very small files,
those around 5 kb or less... those files end up being restored empty.

Is that strange? Has anyone else noticed this problem with this
software?

Thanks.

You may get better response from Acronis's forum.

I did see a few quirks with that operation with build 2302, but that
was just an error message in the log. The restore worked fine,
including those very small files restored fine.

Dont have any problem at all with build 2337, does that op perfectly now.

Just as an FYI...build 3567 is available as of a few days ago.

Yeah, thanks Bob. Got a bit behind, basically because the
test machine is the PVR now and it took me long enough to
get around to trying that particular problem out after I had
tried it with 2302 and didnt get the same result he got.

I just havent got off my arse and completely reconfigured
the PVR so I can boot the test install much more easily.

Since its the PVR that gets used every day, I always religiously
image that with Drive Image 7 for safety and its always been
very slow on that particular machine, can take 4 hours for the
20G OS partition thats pretty full.
