i need an earlier version of acrobat reader than the currently available 6 -
anyone have a link - i didn't find anything on google

If you want an older version because Acrobat Reader 6 is so bloody
slow, you can always try the "Acrobat Reader Speedup":

It disables a number of usually unnecessary plugins loaded by the
Reader.

Then again, I also reverted to version 5. Feels speedy as hell when
you come from 6.

FYI, if you want an older version of Acrobat, just report your OS version as
being older than it is.

Windows 98 (not Second Edition) will get you Acrobat 5.something.
