Acrobat 4.0 and windows 2000 sp4

I am trying to do a reinstallation of windows 2000 and
applications. when trying to install Acrobat 4.0 the CD
is not recognized by the machine. It states incorrect
function as the error when i try to access the CD. The
same cd will crash my XP machine with a blue screen. the
blue screen error is no more irp stacks locations. I have
2 Acrobat 4.0 CDs and both produce the same errors on
Windows 2000 and XP. I have been to Adobe's website and
can find nothing about this. Hopefully someone out there
has had this problem and resolved it. TIA for any help.
 
Could happen to anyone.

Oh, Acrobat 4.0 is getting a little long in the tooth, don'cha think?
