Hi to all,
I followed a suggestion on www.thewinningpost.com about optimizing Windows
(XP Home in my case) for audio, and changed drivers from ACPI to Standard PC
(System>Hardware>Computer>ACPI). IT was mentioned that by doing the switch,
all the connected hardware would be assigned separate IRQs (thus improving
audio performance). AFter I perfromed the switch and rebooted, my mouse and
keyboard do not work. Mouse and keyboard - both USB (mouse - optical).
Rebooted a few times - same problem. (tried another mouse, with the green
round jack as a connector - doesn't work either). Though computer connects to
the internet and seems functional in any other aspects. How do I get my mouse
and keyboard to function properly again? GReatly appreciate any help; please
send to (e-mail address removed). Million thanks and regards - Cornel.
