ACPI issue Patch???

Tried to install Vista to a brand new system I just put together. Since I
bought the upgrade I had to load XP first. tried to upgrade and it says ACPI
non compliant. Asked the Mach Speed and was informed that the problem has to
do with the DVD disc and there is a patch that has to be put on a disk with
the copy of Vista.
Obviously, have to make another disk from original, but does anyone know
where to find that patch?????????????
