Can anyone help me identify this error report from my XP system event viewer
folder as follows:

Message: %2: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address

Explanation
The system BIOS attempted to incorrectly access hardware resources
concurrently with the operating system. This type of access cannot be
synchronized and can cause system instability.


User Action
Contact the system vendor for an updated BIOS and follow the vendor's
instructions for installation.


Please note that this is a Compaq Presario originally with Windows 98 and
upgraded to XP with FAT32 OS.

This error is due to the need for a BIOS upgrade.
Visit Compaq's website go to Driver update site and install the BIOS updates
for WinXP.
