After my dad re-installed windows there are now two sets of My documents. As the old set were private there i can't access them to get my old files and pictures etc.

Is there anyway of accesing these files?
Thanks
Matt

You should be able to browse to the C:\Documents and Settings folder and search for the username they used to be under. Can you see the old files, but just not access them?

In the Documents and settings folder theres is the names of each user, The old ones and the new ones. When i try to access the older ones it says "C/docs and settings/ ... is not accesible, Acess is Denied.

Its impossible to log on as the old users and Ive tryed logging on as the Administrator too.
Many Thanks
Matt

Acess denied... i have seen this message as well or, when i try to delete a file it tells me that i have to shut down the program first even though its not used.
I have Never figured out the whole Acess denied thing, good luck

have you tried booting into safe mode ? dunno if it works but may be worth a try
