Hi all

I have a Acer TM6410 and it didn't come with the os disc (XP Pro).
Instead, you have to make a "factory default disc" using the "eRocvery
Management"I'm gonna instal vista business on my system and if i'm not
satisfied i will go back to xp.
My question is: wil i be able to boot from this disc to install the Xp?
If so will it give the options to format del partition etc etc?

BTW i have 2 partitons and when i install vista in gonna make one partition
and install.

Any help please
Thanks!

Best to check with Acer tech support on what the recovery CD does.

I have been fighting with Acer and the dealer over this fraud. I
bought an Acer Aspire T180.

Acer machines do NOT comes with Vista as advertised, just an installed
Vista image you can back up and restore -- which of course wipes out
EVERYTHING even your data.

They have refused to give or sell me a proper vista disk so I can
repair damage or make other adjustments.

However, the image is reputedly bootable. You can use Boot-It to make
sure you will always be able to boot.

I agree that this sucks and it doesn't make it any better but almost all
large OEM built computers come like this. It's not just Acer.
