Hello,

I recently bought a Acer 3002 LCi laptop with AMD Sempron 2800+.
This chip is rated at 1.6 Ghz on AMD's website.

But, when I look at the info in "Systems" panel, it says 800 MhZ.
Am I missing something here ?

What is the real clock speed at which my laptop is operating ?

thank you

Look on your computer or at AMD's support site for the Speedstep
Dashboad. It will illustrate the speed in real time. The 800Mhz is
likely the idle speed.

Q

procesor gets lower speed in order to save battery time when it's idle, you
can configure it in control panel - if you want the top performance or the
top power saving option.
