Windows XP Acer 4930 , windows xp

I tried to install windows xp in acer 4930 instead of windows vista , but i failed , can anybody tell me how to install windows xp in acer 4930.

Should be straight forward. Format disc and install with XP CD.

What happens when you try ?

A friend had a problem trying to install XP over Vista and it screwed up the Laptop.
Seems the BIOS will only see Vista in some laptops, hence you flatten it to take XP and it fails!!

It shows fatal exception error , 0x7947299387 like this some number.

Download and burn the above and use it to wipe your hdd. Then try installing XP. Should do the trick.

U probably need to change the SATA mode in the bios.
XP doesn't natively support SATA and thus gives you a blue screen during install.
It wont even get to the stage where it takes additional drivers to show the SATA
