Acelp codec won't install

G'day everyone.

Right, I'm trying to view a video file but WMP11 say that a codec is
required. After doing the web search it appears that I need the ACELP_NET
codec installed. So I've downloaded the codec - and installed it. Yet the
same message comes up when I try to watch the video.

Now this is becoming a right royal pain in the arse, because there are 14
videos and three of them won't run.

Does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks,
Graham.

You might want to post to the media player newsgroup. It's version and OS
agnostic, but say what version you're using.

Well I might give that a go. However the problem has only really come to
light since I installed Vista. I never had the problem with XP.

Thanks for the response anyway.

Graham.
