Accounts problem

When I reply to an email the from box goes to the first account on the list,
not my default account. There is a box at the bottom of the settings "Set
Order". Most of the time it's grayed out and the few times it isn't, I'm
leery of clicking on it. Anyone know how to make Windows Mail to reply by
default instead of the first account?

Windows Mail (like OE) replies using the 'From' address associated
with the account that received the message.
The default account address is used when originating a new message.

Question
Can't create new thread, or question, sorry about that.
I am having problems w/new users. I set up 2 accounts only one works. The
other one, doesn't send or receive, consistently, I can send from my
alternative addy, but not receive there. I have set it up right, exactly as
my mail default, but am confused, as to why I can't use 2 email addys.
Thank You

I am confused by your post.
You setup 2 email accounts?
Did you get a second email address from your email provider?

I understand, but in my case, everytime I reply it goes to the first account,
not to the addy that received the email.

Do you get any kind of error message when you try to send
or receive? If so, copy it and post it here.

What I forgot to add, Gary, is that even if I forward an email, it goes to
the first email account instead of the default. I changed defaults to test,
and it does the same thing. Thanks for the concern.

NO error message. It just is NOT working. I posted to join an online list
serv to be sent to my user account, have a legit email addy, and nothing
comes there. Sometimes I get from that list serv a message to my mail
default which is the first one I set up. I need to have these groups deliver
mail to the specific email addresses that I sent them to join.
Am I making sense?
Why hasn't M/S figured this out, seems to be a problem.
Too much time here with Vist to be sorting through all this help. For this
kind of money it should have been a non issue.

There's not much for me to diagnose if there's no error message.

The account that is not receiving email, what happens when *you*
send a test email to it?

When you check the mail for that account (click the arrow next
to Send/Recv, select the specific account), does it go through
the motions of contacting the server?

Are these accounts with the same mail server?
Are you sure they are not aliases for the same mailbox on the server?
