Hi,

My users get locked out frequently when they access
network shares. In my Directory Services event logs, i
keep having NTDS Replication(Event ID 1645) and NTDS KCC
(Event 1265) error. I had applied the latest SP but the
problem still occuring. Is there a patch for downloading
to resolve these problems?

Please provide details of the frequency these accounts
lock out and your domain structure.

HSY!

Good morning! I might kindly suggest that you also take
a look in this NewsGroup before posting. This particular
topic ( Accounts Lockout ) is asked about five times a
week! In fact, if you look six posts down you will see
that this was asked and then answered by Tim and
subsequently clarified a bit by Katherine.

Please do not misunderstand my post. You are naturally
more than welcome to post anything AD-related as many
times as you want. It is actually for your benefit,
though. You might do a search for "account lock out" and
find much more quickly an answer ( either a direct answer
or an indirect answer consisting of some links that will
take you to some Articles or White Papers that answer
your question ) from a previous post than waiting for
someone to answer your particular post.

However, take a look at the following two links:

http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1265&source=
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1645&source=

These might be related to your account lockout situation.

HTH,

Cary

Hi,

yup. i did a search and read through all those accounts
locked out cases but none of them had experienced the
same thing as i did. Thus, i did a post to get some
advice hopefully.

Hi,

the frequency can be once or twice a day from the same
persons. as long as they are trying to access network
shares, they have a chance to get locked out.

we have 2 DCs, the problem happened after we tranferred
the global catalog from the first DC to the second DC.

is there any patch that we can use? we have search for
documents from technet and installed the latest service
pack, but still to no avail.

regards
HSY
