May not be the most appropriate place for this, but I wasn't getting any
response in the 3rd party NG, so I reposted this here where there is a ton
of activity.

Can anyone recommend a good accounting program written in ms access (with
source code) that can be integrated into a custom ms access app? (2k or xp)
also needs to be able to run from either jet or ms sql 2k data.

Thanks,

Keith

Thank you Sandra for your *helpful* reply. I very much appreciate it. :)
This loooks like a lot of good info. I'm sure there will be something in
there that will satisfy my current client's needs. Thanks again, Keith.

If the accounting side is straightforward you might want to look at MYOB.
A good package with some strange actions left over from the Mac side.
The thing that puts it head and shoulders above QB or PeachTree is the ODBC
connection it offers.
You can use it to do the accounting and Access to do the oddball stuff.

QB and PT interfaces are a problem to write (and QB does not support the
poorly documented, *very* rigid and dangerous IIF format.) and both require
maintaining tables in Access that should not be there - duplicate customer
info for example.
