This is reference to Windows XP Pro. I believe I have a
damaged built-in Administrator account profile. It seems
like the profile has missing .DLL files. The problem is
that when I try to enter Control Panel or access certain
applications, the system encounters a Stop Error and
reboots (by default). The stop error really doesn't
indicate a damaged profile, but I tried logging on with a
different user administrative account that I created, and
didn't encounter any errors. At first, I thought it
might've been corrupted system files, and so I did an SFC
(System File Checker), and CHKDSK /F. The SFC indicated
that a DLL file was needed for Windows to run properly,
but I am thinking that the Administrator profile was
missing the DLL and not the Operating System itself. How
can I restore the default Administrator profile? Is
reinstalling the only way, or is there another? Thanks.
