Hello,

I am the administrator of my pc only this pc for home use but I can't modify
the account or do operations example open the C:\ Documents and settings or
others folders as cookies or models not all folders.

The UAC popup appear normal to ask me authorizations.

What's happen?

Thanks

Hi,

In normal runtime, even an administrator will need to acknowledge when they
are accessing a protected system folder. This is to prevent malware from
usurping account privilege and installing itself sight unseen.

As to C:\Documents and Settings, it as well as several other "folders" you
are trying to access are not folders at all. They are merely junction points
for compatibility with older software that is hard coded to those folder
paths. The actual folder path should be %userprofile%, and in the case of
Vista it's C:\Users. The C:\D&S "folder" merely redirects programs to that
locale. The same goes for Cookies, My Documents, Sendto, and several others
that are now stored elsewhere.
