I've just installed XP (from ME) and have created 3 user
accounts... I am the admin and I see all the
applications on my desktop that I had prior to the
upgrade. HOwever th eother 2 (they are limited accounts)
onlt see I handful of desktop icons. How can I copy the
desktop display from my admin account to the othe
rlimited accounts. And how can I create add new accounts
so they will come up with the full desktop ? - Thaks -

Windows Millennium kept your desktop icons all in the same location
(probably something like c:\windows\desktop) and when you upgraded to
Windows XP these desktop icons got moved to your desktop folder under
documents and settings location (c:\documents and
settings\<youruseraccountname>\desktop). In order for newly created user
accounts to see these desktop icons you need to copy them to c:\documents
and settings\all users\desktop. You only need to copy these desktop icons
for currently installed programs as newly installed programs you install on
XP should ask you if you want to create desktop icons for just yourself or
for everyone. When you tell the program to create desktop icons for
everyone it will create the desktop icon in the all user's desktop folder.

Hope this helps,
