account locks out

Server:windows 2000 server /active directory
Client: windows 2000 professional

Ever since the password change, my account locks out. I
seem to be the only one experiencing this problem. There
does not seem to be a rhyme or reason for this... it can
happen after i reboot or login as a different user and
then try to log on as myself again.

Has anyone experienced this? We have all the latest
service packs installed.

Hi marjan,

You may have an app on your client machine that is still sending the
incorrect password to the domain.
Common Causes of Account Lockouts
---------------------------------
Cached Credentials
Many programs cache credentials, keep active threads in use, and do not
update the credentials after a password has been changed.
Account Lockout Threshold Policy Setting
The Account lockout threshold policy setting may be set too low. the
recommended minimum value for this security policy setting is 10. This is
explained in detail in #CALS: Step 1 of the "Step-by-Step Troubleshooting"
section later in this article.

Concurrent Logons to Multiple Computers

A user is concurrently logged on to multiple computers. Threads of network
programs that are running on those computers may run in the context of that
locally logged on user when the user accesses resources in the domain. If
this user changes their password on one of the computers, programs that are
running on the other computers continue to use the original password. As
those programs access network resources and authenticate, the old password
is used, and the user's account becomes locked.

Make sure the client has the latest service packs installed.
