We are running windows 2000 server with 12 clients. We
are having a problem with random account lockouts

Some mornings everybody is locked out of their account,
other mornings you can be working away and be locked out
in the middle of trying to access the network shared
drives.

All accounts have permanent passwords. all account
restrictions have been removed to check to see if things
were to strict.

We are at a bit of a loss.

Have you checked security log ?
Audit Account management and Account logon shuld be enable in computer
policy.

What is the exact error message you get when you're locked out?
To confirm, you do not have domain lockout for bad passwords enabled?
