Hello!

I accidentally deleted the recording devices on the Control Panel>Sounds. I
want to configure my mic, but I can't select configure because there is no
audio device installed. What can I do to install again my mic?

I hope someone can help me.. Thanks

APR,

Normally, when you reboot, Windows reinstalls everything. Check in Device
Manager to note any messages associated with your sound device. Post back on
results. When all else fails, you might have to reinstall the drivers for
the sound card.

Did you try to right click in the Recording Devices window and select both "Show
Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices"?

What is your audio adapter in Device Manager"

Have you downloaded and installed the latest Vista drivers for your audio
adapter?

How do you reinstall the sound drive?

I can't find my default mic at all, even with show disabled and disconnected
devices checked.

Find the manufacturer of your audio adapter in Control Panel > Device Manager,
expand Sound, video and game controllers. Go to their web site, download the
appropriate drivers and install them.

Who is the manufacturer of your audio adapter?

Never mind, I used a link from another topic and it worked. Thanks for
replying so fast though.
