accidental e-mail deletion in store folder change

Apparently a change of store folders resulted in the
complete loss of all e-mails. This is a tremendous step
and yet the program had little to no warning that such a
thing was possible. Furthermore, deleted files did not
show up in the recycle bin.

Is there any way to get them back?

In any case, MS must issue a huge warning with a clear
confirmation requirement in the future. Not to do so is a
terribly negligent failure of customer service.

Thanks for any help on this.

More information, please:

1) Outlook version? (Windows version would be helpful too)
2) Was this an Exchange mailbox or a .PST file?
3) What are the exact steps you took to change the store folder location?

One more things, it only works on Exchange server and the deleted items
retention period is greater than 0

Good luck

You changed the *location* of the store folder. Does that folder actually
exist? Did you move your .pst file over there after changing Outlook to
look in the different location than before, or is it still sitting back in
its old location?
