Accessing xp pro pc

Hi

I have an xp pro pc connected with a broadband router. The router has a
fixed ip provided by isp. What do I need to set on the router or the pc to
remotely access the pc's desktop via remote desktop? I

Hi John,

The router has to be configured to forward port 3389 from the outside world
to the internal ip of the destination machine. This is easiest done if the
router supports a static internal ip by name or mac address (or every time
you reboot that system there is a danger that it won't be assigned the same
ip).
