accessing website/user/password rejecting

I have a frontpage website, long story short, I had to switch computers and
instal frontpage from the disk into the new computer, it may not have
anything to do with the problem but now when i try to access my website,
after entering user and password, it rejects it and asks for it again,

I have been able to directly accessed the control page to my server and
double checked things I know of, and even tried adding a new user, but even
after that frontpage will not accept the user/password that I know is
correct,,

I have been dealing with the server for 2 weeks, and they can't help,, all
they do is what i can do on the control page,,
any ideas?

thanks, I looked at the suggested program,
but I question if it could help my situation, because I had to reinstall FP
from the original disk onto my new computer, and so to my knowledge there
shouldn't be any old data to clean,,,
is it posible it could still help?

See if http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=250376 applies
Also try browsing to your web site in IE and using File Edit w/ FP
