I have mapped T on my xp and tried to access it from my 98.
Is that possible? If so, how?

Depends on what "T" is. If T is a folder which is shared (with
a short simple foldername and a short simple sharename), then
you can map a network drive on your W9x PC to "T".

If "T" is a printer, then you may be able to share it on the XP PC
and then use Add-A-Printer on the W9x PC to print on it. But, some
printer vendors do not support cross-platform printing for some
printers.

If "T" is a CD/DVD, then you can read file-structured media from it
across the network, but you will not be able to write to it without
additional software; some CD/DVD vendors have some, some don't.

If "T" is a scanner, then you will not be able to use it without
additional software from the scanner vendor.

For all other values of "T", you are pretty much hosed.
