I recently left my company and made several archived .pst
files. When I tried to access them on my home computer,
it give me an access denied ...I do not have permissions
necessary to access the file. Help? All my contacts and
notes are lost if I can not get to the data in these
files.

did you copy the pst file from the cd to your drive and remove the read only
attribute? the reason that i ask is that outlook needs to open the file in
read/write mode. when the file is on a read-only source or you don't have
permissions to make changes to the file, you get this message when trying to
open the file.

THANK YOU!!!!

I read an earlier message discussing this and I copied
the files over to my new hard drive and deselected read
only. I was able to get to my contacts. Thanks again.
