Accessing protected user profile on 2000 installation on 2nd Hard Disk

Trying to retrieve data on the desktop of a password
protected user profile located on a win 2000 installation
located on a secondary hard drive. thanks

Not clear with "Password protected" If you mean EFS or a third-party
security method....

If just a case of User files under a User Profile, then with
Administrator authority you may need to change the file system ACLs
(Permissions). Possibly you will need to first Take Ownership of them
in order to permit Administrator Group at least Read permissions.

Not sure if any of that helps though. Say more details.
