Accessing program

I have two accounts on my computer (administrator account and a standard user
account). When logged on as administrator, I can access all my programs
including downloads such as Quicken. When logged on as standard user, I am
unable to access the downloaded Quicken program and all the information that
I placed in it when logged on as administrator. Am I trying to do something
that Vista does not allow?

What do you mean "including downloads such as Quicken"? Do you mean
"including installed programs such as Quicken?" And what do you mean by
"access"? Do you mean that when you attempt to start Quicken by clicking on
its icon in Start>Programs nothing happens, or you get an error message 9if
this, quote exact text please), or Quicken isn't in your Start menu?

More details, please.

Sorry for the confusion; Quiken is downloaded and shows on program list of
both accounts; when trying to run as "standard user", I am asked to select a
data file; it does not go directly to the program as when logged on as
admin.; found that if I right click on shortcut (when logged on as S/U) and
run as admin. everything is OK.
So I guess I have answered my own question.

This is not a downloaded program. It is an *installed* program. And you
probably need to check with Intuit about their software's compatibility
with Vista or use the workaround you discovered. Because Intuit is Just
Like That. :-(
