Hi,

I am trying to access NTFS partition of my XP pro from XPe but I am not
able to do that. System given an error "Drive not formatted".

I have added all the NTFS related components in the image. Is there
any other specific setting to be done so as to achieve that ? I have
also checked for the presense of ntfs.sys in the system32\drivers
directory.

One more strange thig is, I am able to access the NTFS partition on my
first boot after FBA.

Thanks in advance.

Very strage. I would not expect that after first boot you can access it and then after one more boot that it stop working.
Try making XPe partition also NTFS, so that way you will know for sure that ntfs driver is workign and that problem is in some lower
driver.

Also also examine end of file setupapi.log for some error cause.

It is really a strange problem and I am trying to get out of it for
last 4-5 days :((
When I tried to change the FS from FAT32 to NTFS, the XPe didnt boot
and fired an error "LSASS.exe: The endpoint is invalid."

Any idea about NTFS and LSASS.exe link ??

Hi Kapil,

Some of this threads might give you a clue where to look at your problem
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=LSASS.exe:+The+endpoint+is+invalid.&qt_s=Search

For start I sugest making a image as a proff of concept to see if it work on your hardware.

1. Use Minlogon macro component that will add you all generic hardware support in your image needed to boot.
2. Enable NTFS.
3. Test this.

When this start working then try adding third party aplication and drivers that you have in your non working image and see when it
stop working. After you narow problem a bit we can try to figure this out.
