We have four computers networked through a LinkSys
router. We have set up some of our documents to rpovide
one another with access from another computer to the
folders in one computer. I can't figure out how to permit
access to my Calendar (Outlook 97) from the other
computers. I've been looking for the file that needs to
be "shared" but I don't know which one.

Any help will be appreciated.

All the data is in the .pst file(s) listed in the mail profile. They cannot
be opened on one machine if they're already in use on another.

Dear Ms. Mosher,

Many thanks for your help. To act on it, I need to know
which folder to mark as "shared" so I can open the
Calendar (or Contacts, for that matter) on the one
computer when I am working from another. I have made
C:\Outlook shared, but when I try to open the mailbox.pst
file, it asks what program to use .... and I'm lost.

Sincerely,

Byrdx

You must use Outlook's File | Open | Personal Folders File/Outlook Data File
command to open the file.
