Am I able to access my outlook calendar on any computer that has outlook?
I'm not dealing with networks, or trying to share my calendar with other
people, but if I add items to my calendar on outlook at home, am I going to
be able to access that on a different computer?

Most likely not, especially since you say you're "not dealing with
networks". Without a network, how would you propose one PC could access
another? That said, there are ways to synchronize to Outlook data stores,
the methods for which can be discovered by starting here:

I recently had a problem with accessing my calendar from multiple
locations (I'm on the road alot) - I've investigated some of the online
calendars (that also integrate with Outlook). Two of the best seem to
be:

http://www.myoffice.net/ (pretty good & its feature rich but you have
to pay for it)
http:/www.businessitonline.com (simple service - and free for 1 or two
users)
