Accessing home from work

I can access my work computer from home after they set up all the
permissions to do that,
But I want to also connect to my home PC from work,
All the threads i've searched seem to be for home networks, I'm not on a
network at home, I have a fixed IP and have ADSL,
I'm also running zone alarm

I've tried just typing in the IP address but it wont find it!
any ideas?

Is the firewall turned on? (ICF?)

Also if you have ZoneAlarm and it has already denied the connection at
some time in the past, you may have to go find the entry and delete
that one so you can allow the connection next time.
 
My firewall is on and so is works firewall but they have set up access for
me to connect to my PC
I've not denied a request with zone alarm,

What should i do?
