I have a laptop with XP Pro that I connect to my home network and to my
office network. Both networks are configured as workgroups. I have tried
to share certain folders on my laptop so that I can access them on my home
network and my office network from other computers. When I had Win2K and
set up the subdirectories for sharing, and I tried to access files, the
system would ask me for a username and password and I could then access
files after giving a legal username/password combination. I want to be able
to do this with XP Pro, but it appears that either my files are visible to
everyone or to no one. I've looked at several knowledgebase articles and
done what they suggested but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
