accessing email

I have SBC Yahoo dial. Every time I try to get my email,
I have to hit "send receive" (it doesn't load
automatically!), and then the box coes out and asks for
my 'password' (everytime) as the "save password" box is
grey and I cannot check it, as it is already checked and
greyed out anyway. My ISP says it's microsoft's
problem. How do I fix this, so my email is checked
automatically every time I log on. Something is messed
up with this 'greyed out password' area ! Idone
everything, remove, reload, etc but I am stuck.
Any suggestions ??
