Accessing data in an Outlook/Lotus Notes Connector file

Until recently I was using the Outlook connector for Lotus Notes
(Outlook2002/Notes R5) and due to a recent laptop crash and corporate merger
I now have Outlook2k on my laptop (for which there is no Notes Connector).
Is there any way to access the data stored in the nst file that Outlook
created? I'm assuming that the nst file is where Outlook was storing all of
my contact information (as the contact data wasn't getting back to my Notes
database).

1) Is it possible to have Outlook read the nst file without installing the
Notes Connector? (I have access to OutlookXP if necessary)
2) If the contact data is not stored within the nst file can someone tell me
where it is stored?

Thanks,
Harry

I believe the NST file is a replica of what is stored on Notes within your
mail, calendar and tasks. If you have your Notes client stored on your
system, then you should be able to access the same information.

I am hoping someone can tell me how can make the Outlook Notes Connector
work again after it stopped working due to a certificate update?

Good luck.
Paul

Hi Paul, sorry but I can't help you with your certificate issue - I have no
idea why that stopped working...

Thanks for the reply but I think that emails within the nst file are only
duplicated in the Lotus Notes file. In other words, if I add a new contact
or task to Outlook the information doesn't make it back to Notes. I have to
think this is so because Outlook supports so many more data items than Notes
(for example, 3 email fields instead of Notes' 1, 3 address fields instead
of 2, 19 phone number fields instead of Notes' 6, etc...) Same thing with
Tasks, OL supports multiple categories, statuses, total work, etc...

Is a way to open an existing .nst file in order to access the data?

Thanks,
Harry
