I have three computers on a wireless network. I can access two of those
computers with no problem however one of them asks for a username and
password whenever I attempt to access it from either of the other computers.
I have never set a password on any of the computers and the only usernames I
have are profile names. All computers are running XP Pro. The network is
running on a Linksys router and access point. The computer I am unable to
access is the one that is directly connected to the Linksys router. The
other two communicate wirelessly through the access point.

I know very little about networking (obviously) so any assistance will be
appreciated.

Hi Bob,
access it from either of the other computers.<<

When this happens you should be able to get in by entering the username
(exactly as it appears in the User Accounts applet if it is not already in
the login screen), leaving the password blank.

The one XP machine requiring the formal login is probably due your having
left checked a checkbox during XP setup which asks if you want to require
all users to log on.
