When I open my address book ,choose an address and then choose send mail I
get an error message. It says that this is not my default application. I go
to tools on OE and set it as my default. I then go back, try it again and
get the same message. What an I doing wrong? Thanks.

Tom,

Makes sure you have appropriate rights to modify changes in registry. If you
do: try this,

Click Start | Run | and type:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe /reg"

OE should be set as default.

Thanks for the advice however this didn't solve my problem. I am running XP
and I have administrator rights. The exact message is "An error occurred
while attempting to invoke the default e-mail program". Any other ideas?
Thanks
