Accessing a computer behind a Netgear MR814 Router

I am able to connect to my home computer (XP Pro) from
work (XP Pro) when the home computer is connected
directly to my DSL modem. But if I connect the modem to
a Netgear MR814 Router, (then connect to the router
wirelessly) I can't get through. I have forwarded ports
3389 and 80 to the machine in question, which I have set
up with an assigned IP address.

When I try to connect from work, I get as far as
the "Verifying username and password" message, then it
gets disconnected with Error 628.

What other settings might I be needing to change?

Thanks.

Note that this is VPN, not Remote Desktop... Try connecting with the
Remote Desktop Connection Client instead of the Network Connections
applet.

For the VPN to work, you need to forward TCP Port 1723 as well as
enable GRE/PPTP Passthrough (if available) to get VPN to work...
