Accessibility problems-networking

Making progress on networking a Window XP Professional
computer to a Windows Millenium computer, but need help
with accessibility problems. Here is situation:

- On Windows ME computer
- can open Working Group
- can find and open Windows ME shared files
- can find Windows XP computer, but access is denied

- On Windows XP computer
- can find but not open Working Group, access denied
- using Search command, CAN find and open Windows
XP
shared files (apparently by bypassing Working Group)
- CANNOT find Windows ME computer by any method


I assume this is some kind of permissions problem, or I
have done some part of the networking incorrectly.

Please help!
