How do I completely uninstall the Accessibility Options in
Windows XP Professional. I use the shift key very often
and find that the OS wants to turn on the AO frequently
and that is bothersome. After choosing cancel I have to
reboot the pc to get the MS natural keyboard to work
correctly. If I can't uninstall the AO then please give
the registry information to set the "Hold shift key" time
from 2 seconds to more than 20 seconds. The AO is a great
feature for those who need it. I just don't need it yet. I
adjusted the idle time for AO and that helps... but I
don't want to wait 5 minutes for it to time out.

Thank you,
Neil Stephens

Neil, I have a few games that make use of the shift key for movement and
ran into this same problem. Thought I had disabled it by unchecking the box
to use StickyKeys but it kept coming back. Finally, dug a little deeper by
clicking on the Settings button in the StickyKeys section and unchecked the
box next to "Use keyboard shortcut." That worked so I went back and
unchecked the keyboard shortcut box for all of the Acessibility Options.

Thank you Sharon,
I had that feature turned off. Though the settings button
had everything selected. I assumed the option would not
work with the main feature deselected. I thank you for
your help. FrontPage gives me no grief anymore (I tend to
be heavy on the shift key) and (of course) my games work
like I want them to. :-)

Thank you again,
