Hi yo,
Have you tried and online virus scan?
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/
Under virus definitions, third one
Give it one time permission and OK to download definitions
When it gets through, write down all the file names it
finds.
Search on Google for the infection(s) or file names.
Print the fix sheets from NAI or Grisoft. Symantec was good,
but they are pumping their AVP now.
Also go get this program.
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
The stinger program removes over thirty viruses.
After you are through with all of that
Get an AVP, a firewall, AdAware, and SpyBot S&D here.
Install them. use them. I just repaired one computer that
had 13 viruses, 800 files with malicious code, and a ton of
stuff that SpyBot found after al of that. Learn to practice
safe hex.

dear don,
i've been searching the newsgroups to no avail (until i
came across your last sentence) re: my vertical scrolling
being messed up. when i click on the scroll bar to skip
down a page or press "page down" key, it scrolls too
far. is this because of a windows update? is there any
way to remedy it? thank you!

Walter,
Great detective work!
Delete [c:\windows\system.css]
But, this mysterious style sheet indicates a Coolwebsearch infection,
probably datanotary.
Go to
http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html download and run CWShredder.
Also, visit Windows Update for the latest critical update for IE. It will
mess up your vertical scrolling, but it's an important security update.

My browser centers everything on the screen on every web
page. I have found the culprit:
Under "Tools"
"Internet Options"
"Accessibility"
all four boxes should be empty but the box
marked "Format documents using my style sheet is always
checked when I start and the dialogue box below it
says "c:\windows\system.css"
When I uncheck it goes away. How do I get it to default
to normal, and what caused this in the first place?
Thanks in advance.
