It is not a known issue, but it may indicate a hardware problem.

Due to the way Access 97 polls the message query, your CPU usage will be
100%. If the processor is not getting adequate cooling (or if the power
supply is not up to the task), the machine will reboot. If you have a
Pentium IV with only the fan on the processor and the power supply fan,
consider adding a system fan to the case to see if additional airflow solves
the problem.

Is this normal?
I checked the cpu usage while selecting a query (not yet opening it) and it
speeds up the usage to 100% during about 3 seconds.

My processor is an AMD duron 1200

Does your computer shut down while running a large amount of data? Because in addition to what Allen Browne had pointed out, this could happen also when you have a bad RAM chip. To test this, open up as many as programs as you can and open as many big files as you can. If the computer reboots, switch out your RAM with new ones. I once have to switch out RAM 3 times before my computer worked properly and it was brand new.

Good luck!
