I'm relatively new to XP. My previous system was 98SE and there was a MS data base program installed very similiar to Access. I don't seem to find this same program on XP. Can anyone help me. Thanks.

The last database-like program that shipped as a part of Windows (3.x) was
Cardfile. When you buy a system prebuilt, you get an operating system and a
"bundle" (assortment) of additional programs. These assortments vary from
one computer package to another and often include things like MS Office, MS
Money, MS Works.

Perhaps the database program you're remembering was part of the MS Works
package that was bundled with your last system?

Greetings --

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.
