Access won't close or exit

I have a form in a database that calls functions and routines in 5 other
databases to load data each day. When our old Netware server crashed, the
data was restored to a newer NT server and ever since then, Access won't
close or exit when the routines are done running. If I open the form and
then hit the Exit button, it closes out fine. But if I run the other
routines, when they are done and it returns to the form, I can't close
Access. It seems like something or some object is still open. I'm running
Win 98 with Access 2000 on an NT server. Any thoughts? I'm getting tired of
Ctl/Alt/Del to end the task. Thanks,
Jeff.

I would love to knew the answer to that, it happen to me also, but only when
I run the DB that reference to other DB.
But it doesnt happen when I run the application in run time, I have 80 users
and it never happen to them.

Hi Jeff. I ran into the same problem when part of my routines involved my MS
Access' database interaction and/or linked tables with a Paradox-based
database on the network. Access had no control over that situation due to
Paradox's Borland-driven management. Are all of your databases Access?

Just a thought.

Well, I do have some Paradox tables in my other Access databases but there
aren't any in this load routine. But that's a good thought and it made me go
back and re-link all the linked tables in the different databases in the
routine. They might be holding the old server location in memory or
something. I just found it odd that it ran fine on the Netware server but
now that it's on the NT server there's a problem. It could just be the
physical location change that is causing it though. I won't know if the
re-linking works until I run the stuff again on Monday though. Thanks for
the thought.

Well, I tried re-linking all the tables and I still had the problem this
morning. I'll just need to figure out which of the load routines is causing
it to get stuck "open".
