Access Violations from Canon IR2800 Driver on Win2K Server

Stuart

We have a W2K Server (Standard) used as a print server - the server
prints ~1000 jobs / day, to 20 printers across a WAN.

However, recentlty have been getting intermittent access violations in
the Event Log (see below) (Approx 20 / day).

This sometimes takes out our print job application, and even the
Windows print spooler service entirely.

Pretty sure it is related to the IR2800 - We have downloaded and
installed the latest IR2800 drivers from Canon (there are 12 other
printer drivers installed).

Logged Event is:

The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( CanonPrinterDriver3 )
cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary
registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a
remote computer. The following information is part of the event:
DrvEnablePDEV, 06180000, 0622C95A, ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Any info, ideas seriously appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Kind of - apparantly some issue to do with the Canon print traffic
through a ?Cisco router on the WAN. Pop me a mail early in the new year
and can get some contact details for you.

We also have this problem.
Please add me to the solution email.
