access violation

when I try to access the internet, I always get this message:

access violation @ address 6cb616b7 in module 'avgt00~1.DLL read of address
00000004

what does this mean and how can I fix it

this newsgroup answers questions about using MS Access relational database
software; it doesn't have anything to do with getting access to the
internet. suggest you post your question in a more appropriate newsgroup.

As Tina says, the "access" in this newsgroup name is for Microsoft Access.

That said, I'm guessing that your installation of AVG antivirus software is
either corrupt or has itself been infected by a virus. I'd contact AVG, if you
in fact have that program installed.
